Laurie Winks, founder and creative director at Winks & Co., is a self-admitted, life-long bath and body junkie.  Having had extremely dry skin all her life (the itchy, flaky type), she's tried everything.  She found that so few products would actually quench her skin, last for more than a couple hours, and didn't have a boring or perfume scent.  And all bath and body junkies know that good scent is a must have!

During the summer following her career in the Air Force, she stumbled on some information about making bath and body products.  She had no idea that one could actually do that.  After months of research, she had not only learned that many lotions were filled with chemicals that dried out the skin and had essentially little to no nourishing value, but she also had gathered information about using natural ingredients that would be of benefit to the skin. 

Many batches and combinations of ingredients later, there it was... a body butter that was creamy, not oily feeling, filled with moisturizing ingredients, smelled great, and best of all, it felt wonderful to use.  Quite a few recipes for other natural products also came of the hours of research and testing, but Laurie decided that there was a lot of value in being able to offer just one great product that her customers genuinely enjoyed and wanted to use over and over again.

What makes Winks & Co. different than other bath and body companies?  The most noticeable difference is the unique combination of texture, ingredients, and fragrance.  Our Whipped Body Butters are a specialty boutique product.  Our clients know that their body butter is made fresh and to their specifications.   We enjoy working one-on-one with our clients to create a product that they will enjoy using daily.  When you want a body butter that is fresh, whipped, and smells amazing, Winks & Co. is the place to get it. 

Why don't you offer more products?  Winks & Co. makes a unique product that takes longer to make than average body butters.  We give individual attention to each order to ensure it has the fluffy, whipped texture that has become a distinct characteristic of our products.  We wanted our clients to have fun shopping for small indulgences that become their everyday necessity.  They often tell us that it's impossible to choose just one scent.  Mission accomplished!

How do you choose your scents?  We found that with dozens of fragrances, our customers were overwhelmed.  We took that valuable feedback and narrowed our inventory.  Every scent that makes the final cut will be a unique, complex, and interesting combination.  Above all, every scent is enjoyable to wear and never goes unnoticed.
